Elizabeth R. Haller, age 80, left this earthly life to accept her heavenly rewards on March 8, 2019.  She was born in Calvert County, Maryland to John and Ruth McKenzie on January 19, 1939.  Until her retirement, Elizabeth was employed for several years with Safeway Stores and Shoppers Warehouse in Maryland.  When she retired, she made her home in DeFuniak Springs where she enjoyed an active life which included volunteer work with Healthmark’s Blue Angels for several years.  Also, she was a member of the Red Hat organization and truly enjoyed the many outings and lunches she shared with the group.  Elizabeth had resided in the Crestview Manor for the last three years.  She enjoyed her time there.  The staff and other residents at the Manor referred to her as, “Queen Elizabeth”; something she enjoyed to the fullest!

She is preceded in death by her parents, as well as three brothers: William, Leroy, and John McKenzie.

Elizabeth is survived by one son, Leo and wife Diane Chenevert; grandson, Heath Chenevert; great-grandson Dakota Chenevert; brother, Robert (Bobby) McKenzie; nieces and nephews; and several cousins.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 22, 2019 in the chapel of Davis-Watkins Funeral Home, 1474 Highway 83 North, DeFuniak Springs 32433 beginning at 10:30 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, Elizabeth had requested that donations be given to St. Jude’s Children Hospital or the Walton County Animal Shelter.
