It was just released that on Friday, December 1st, on a school bus with students being taken home from Maude Saunders, a student reported another student had a .32 Caliber Revolver. The gun had no ammunition and the student in possession of the gun was only 7-years old. Since the gun was not loaded nor did it have any ammunition, Walton County Sheriff’s Office had no reason to believe the student had malicious intent when he brought the gun to school. The family was contacted and the Walton County School District will handle any punishment. Walton County Sheriff Michael Adkinson stated, “At no time during this investigation did we believe there was a threat to the school or that an arrest was necessary.” This incident is still under investigation at the time of this report.
