A Niceville-area resident helped deputies nab an armed burglar who now faces four felony charges, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO) said. The OCSO responded to someone calling in a report of a “suspicious person” on Lost Horse Circle around 5 a.m. on Tuesday.
Deputies arrived on scene and found 18-year-old Tyler Touchstone partially inside a silver car. During a search, deputies found a 9mm Beretta pistol in Touchstone’s pocket. He also had a flashlight and a multi-tool with what appeared to be a glass punch. Touchstone was charged with armed burglary, carrying a concealed firearm, use of a weapon during commission of a felony, and possession of burglary tools.
