Remember Wednesday night is the last night for Christmas Reflections around Lake DeFuniak. New Year’s Eve is the last day for the annual 6 million light display. Attendance is expected to be good this year. The warm weather has also meant many chose to walk Circle Drive. There is a cost to enter, but no charge if you walk. Even if you chose to walk, organizers ask that you consider a donation to help keep the lights on.
New Year Day is a national holiday and most banks and government agencies are closed. Walton County and local City non-essential services are closed Thursday. This means no banking or mail on Thursday. If your garbage is normally picked up on Thursday, expect it to be collected the next day, Friday. Wednesday and Friday garbage is as normal. Yard debris pickup in DeFuniak Springs will follow the same schedule.
