Four people have been arrested in Panama City Beach for counterfeit currency. According to the Panama City Beach Police Department, on Tuesday, January 8th, several business reported receiving counterfeit one hundred dollar bills from two women. The businesses were able to provide video surveillance of the women who passed the bill as well as a description of their vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and pulled over the vehicle, 35 year old kelly gladney of mississippi, and 31 year old megan bonderer also of mississippi were identified. Gladney was charged with two counts of uttering a forged instrument and principal to uttering a forged instrument. Bonderer was charged with uttering a forged instrument and two counts of principal to uttering a forged instrument. On Wednesday January 9th, Panama City Beach Police Department executed a search on the women’s hotel room at the reef at seahaven and located suspects, Austin Crispin, 27 of Mississippi and James Magnussen, 26 of Mississippi inside the hotel room. In the hotel they found a numerous counterfeit bills and various items used to create to counterfeits. Both Crispin and Magnusen were arrested and charged with possession of instruments for forgery. All four were transported to Bay County Jail.
