Mr. Reeves was a resident of Niceville, Florida. He was Church of God of Prophesy by faith and a member of The Church of God of Prophesy Church in Niceville, Florida. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather. He was an avid fisherman. He was a very talented at making cast nets. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years.
Mr. Reeves was preceded in death by his parents, Avery and Bessie Reeves, wife, Essie Reeves of 59 years and his brother, Robert Reeves.
Mr. Reeves is survived by his children, William (Kathy) Reeves of Columbus, Georgia, Larry (Lynn ) Reeves of Dade City, Florida, and Steve Reeves, brothers, Wesley (Rosa) Reeves of Baker, Florida and Gene (Mynene) Reeves of Mossy Head, Florida, sisters, Elizabeth Freeman of Niceville, Florida and Linda (Jerry) Lane of Niceville, Florida, grandchildren, Cheryl Reeves, Nicholas Reeves, Marvin Reeves, Travis Reeves, Lisa Jones and husband Joe, Samuel Reeves and Holly Reeves, great grandchildren Katlyn, Willie, Keagan, Ayden, Bobby.
A time of visitation will be held from 9:00-10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home; 150 East Highway 20, Freeport, Florida 32439.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at Clary-Glenn Freeport Chapel Funeral Home, with Pastor William Nester officiating.
Those serving as pallbearers will be William Reeves, Larry Reeves, Nicholas Reeves, Steven Reeves, Samuel Reeves and P.J. Walker.
Flowers are being accepted. Burial will follow in Hatcher Cemetery.
