Mr. Harry Sherman Clenney, age 75, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019. He was born on May 8, 1943 in DeFuniak Springs, Florida to Robert L. Clenney and Grace Adkinson Clenney.  

Mr. Clenney was a lifelong resident of Walton County. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He worked as a Superintendent in Construction for many years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Mr. Clenney was preceded in death by his father and mother; one son, Jerry Clenney; five brothers, Delano Clenney, Robert Clenney, Johnny Clenney, Donnie Clenney, and Larry Clenney; and his sister, Grace Clenney.

Mr. Clenney is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Sheila Gainey Clenney of DeFuniak Springs; his son, John Q. Clenney and wife Jolene Joy Clenney of DeFuniak Springs; his daughter, Chevelle Nance of DeFuniak Springs; five grandchildren, John Clenney, Jr. and wife Cori, Jonathan Clenney, Josilynn Clenney, Joshua Clenney and wife Whitney, and James Nance and wife Jessica; and ten great-grandchildren, Anslee, Macie, Marly, Max, Maverick, Hunter, Jessie, Bailey, Grady, and Charlee. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435, with eulogy by Kenneth Brown.
