Mr. Jerry Leon Farley, age 64, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019. He was born on March 5, 1954 in Merritt Island, Florida to Don Farley and Evelyn Horne Farley.
Mr. Farley was a resident of Walton County, Florida. He was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces for over 11 years serving his country in the United States Army as an officer. He graduated receiving his Master’s Degree in Criminology. He worked with the Department of Children and Family services with the State of Florida as an investigator. He was an avid reader and enjoyed history and war novels. He was also a volunteer fireman.
Mr. Farley was preceded in death by his father and mother.
Mr. Farley is survived by his loving wife Dianne Anderson Farley; two step sons, Chris Willcox and wife Melissa and Joshua Martin and wife Samantha both of DeFuniak Springs, Florida; one daughter, Roberta Farley of Texas; one brother, Floyd Booth of Atlanta, Georgia; one sister, Bettye Reed and husband Bob of Atlanta, Georgia; two nieces and one nephew; and four grandchildren, Clay Willcox, Cayley Willcox, Clara Martin, and Caroline Martin.
Receiving of Friends will be held from 1:00~2:00 PM, Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 23, 2019 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Jason Campbell officiating and Eulogy by Floyd Booth. With military honors by the United States Army.
