MAN USES 9-INCH KNIFE IN SPRINGFIELD ROBBERY

A man is in jail after Springfield Police say he robbed another man with a 9-inch long knife. According to the police report, police responded to the AMI Gas Station located at 3401 Highway Business 98 in reference to a robbery. Once officers arrived on scene, they made contact with the victim who stated a male in his mid-40s, with a scruffy beard, wearing an orange toboggan robbed him at knifepoint at the 3200 blocks of 2nd Place. The suspect was later identified as Charles Sinard of Panama City. The victim said Sinard had a blue knife that was about 9-inches long and demanded his property. The victim gave Sinard his backpack, containing personal belongings.  Sinard was later identified in a photo line-up and arrested. He is facing charges of robbery with a deadly weapon. Sinard is being held in the Bay County Jail and waiting for his first appearance.
