A semi truck overturned on U.S. Interstate 10 Monday afternoon after one of its tires experienced a blowout near mile marker 78. Chanthavongsor Sengphet, 62 of Phoenix, Arizona, was traveling in the outside lane of of I10 at approximately 4:20 p.m., according to a press release from Florida Highway Patrol. A blowout on one of the semi truck tires caused the vehicle to drift across the inside lane to the center of the median. The semi was carrying a load of cauliflower, according to the Walton County Sheriff’s Office. The semi truck then hit the guardrail, the press release said. The force of the impact with the rail caused the vehicle to overturn into the center grass median and onto its right side. The trailer obstructed the eastbound traffic lanes. The driver did not report and injuries. He was charged with careless driving.
