Shelter House currently has two major construction projects underway: an extreme makeover of the shelter that will grow capacity from 24 to 36 beds and a renovation of their newly purchased Program Office.
To fund the expansion and renovation projects, Shelter House Board of Directors and Staff have launched a $610,000 capital campaign entitled Raise the Roof. As of February 1, 2015, $230,000 has been raised from about 20 donors, Impact 100 of Northwest Florida, Destin Charity Wine Auction Foundation, Real Joy Properties and Latitude Resort Properties.
At the Emergency Shelter, they need your help with buying more beds, updating the doors, making repairs to the existing bedrooms, living space and yard and updating the bathrooms, plumbing and roof. The Program Office needs more furniture, updated bathrooms and funding for an on-site exam room for sexual assault victims.
Thank you for opening your heart and financially supporting this project.
